Level Six: Masters Degree or Endorsement in Early Childhood
Education
Entry criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in ECE or Elementary education, child development
or related field. Admission to accredited ECE Masters degree and/or
Endorsement program.
Exit requirements:
Completion of college coursework as designated for program: a minimum
of 33 semester credits, varying depending upon campus. A masters
degree requires a 3.0 minimum grade point average but there is no
minimum for an Endorsement.
Masters degree candidates work with advisor and instructors to
compile a portfolio during their program; the portfolio must be
approved by each student’s graduate committee.
Positions in the Early Childhood at this level:
Primary Grade teachers, adjunct faculty, CDA field site instructors,
Early Interventionist, Educational Consultants and any of the positions
listed in Levels I-VI.
